Wintry showers are going to continue across northern areas, with some accumulations of snow expected, even to lower levels in places. Elsewhere a cold and windy night, with icy patches likely to form.

Monday:

A cold start with icy patches. For many there will be sunshine, but there will also be some wintry showers in the west. A touch less cold with lighter winds.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

A squally band of rain and snow moves eastwards Tuesday, turning brighter behind with showers. Strong winds and rain, preceeded by snow on Wednesday, then brighter with showers on Thursday.
